The Quiet Man – Verbs of Perception.

Although not considered politically correct these days, the film THE QUIET MAN (1952), directed by John Ford, comes in specially handy to practise VERBS OF PERCEPTION + INFINITIVE OR -ING.

I haven’t been able to find the whole sequence on the Internet, but if you have the film at hand, the exercise begins when John Wayne arrives at the train station to take his wife, Maureen O’Hara, out of the train; then he grabs her and takes her to see her brother, Victor McLaglen, to reclaim her dowry.

First of all, watch the sequences. Then complete the gaps with the infinive or the -ing form of the verb in barckets.
